morning on the Torn Shirt Trail, moves to a Short Track race

XC RACE RESULTS
May 24,
2009 -- Bloomer Park -- Rochester Hills, MI
This event was sponsored by the good folks at
ROCHESTER BIKE SHOP
   
This race was
re-scheduled from May 17, and this time the weather was
absolutely perfect for racing! Trails were in GREAT
condition with a wonderful little bridge put in by John
Grayson turning the muddy crossing through what was always a
short nightmare by the river into a sweet dream, and with
the trail repair that
Art Fleming accomplished on the Lower
Ridge trail section which turned a
muddy/rooted fiendish
climb into a comfortable ride.

MICHIGAN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
 The
PONTIAC
LAKE MTB TIME TRIAL, the Tailwind MTB Season Opener
on APRIL 26 came off without a hitch!!!
Mother nature tried her best to throw
a wrench into it, but the Tailwind crew emerged victorious
and was able get a pathway cleared through the 15 or so
trees
and all the limbs that blew down in the 70+ mph winds and hail
late on Saturday.
Sunday's racing was Sunny and Bright,
and saw Mike Anderson (Bells Beer/Quiring Cycles) and
Karey
Collins (MPI/Main Street Racing) win the Elite Classes
in the season opening 2009 USAC State Championship MTB
Series.

it out with you. The wrappers do not bio-degrade and
are becoming an increasing problem on our trail
systems. Bring out what you take into the trails...
