BUT THINGS BLEW UP FOR THE SPORT AND BEGINNER RACERS... A

The Ruby trails
have some of everything you would look for in a great race
course...
Challenging CLIMBS and DESCENTS, Fast Flats, the
state's Best Race River
Crossing (done only TWICE per lap!),
and much, much more! Even
though the
weather forecasters predicted rain for Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday, they missed
the call! NO RAIN FELL on our
parade this year!!! The trails were in the best shape
ever, and some of the fastest times ever raced at Ruby
happened today. Team Sandbag again revised the
trails to accommodate the predicted weather, and
came up with the best trail set-up Ruby has ever
had! CONGRATULATIONS to all who helped... racer
feedback said a resounding THANKS! Each year the
trails are improved upon
and are now rideable even if it does rain!

A 2-Day
Stage Race that starts with a short Time Trial Saturday
morning on the Torn Shirt Trail, moves to a Short Track race
in the afternoon, and finishes with a Murray Lake Trail
Cross Country race on Sunday!
Camping is available in the Bishop Lake Campground at
Brighton Recreation Area.
You may register for and race ALL 3 EVENTS in
the Stage Race and earn DOUBLE SERIES POINTS, or
you may register for and race ONLY SUNDAY'S XC event
for SINGLE SERIES POINTS.

We have moved the Bloomer Park XC out of our USAC Series and
it is now included in the MMBA-CPS (CPS Race #3, Saturday
May 29)
We are looking at a couple of new venues for the TBD
Cyclo-Cross races, and will publish them when we have made
the final decisions (it'll be after the snow goes away -
even if just temporarily!)

NOT DISCARD GEL, FOOD BAR OR GU PACK WRAPPERS ON THE TRAILS! When
you consume your energy or nutritional foods on the trails,
please stuff the wrapper into your jersey pocket and bring
it out with you. The wrappers do not bio-degrade and
are becoming an increasing problem on our trail
systems. Bring out what you take into the trails...
Remember, Leave No Trace!
